SB 1386 by Senator Anna Caballero (D-Merced) to provide further clarity in the state's civil rape shield law, passed out of the state senate today unanimously.

Created by a California Supreme Court ruling in the 2023 case of Doe v. Mountain View School District, current law allows defendants to use a survivors' unrelated sexual history or past sexual ass . . .
