Yesterday, the House Foreign Affairs Committee passed legislation led by Rep. Sara Jacobs (CA-51), Ranking Member of the Subcommittee on Africa, and Rep. Gregory W. Meeks (NY-05), Ranking Member of the House Foreign Affairs Committee, which would direct the U.S. to host regular U.S.-Africa Leaders Summits, at least every four years, to strengthen and cement these partnerships.
