WASHINGTON, May 8 -- Rep. John Moolenaar, R-Michigan, issued the following news release:
Today, Congressman John Moolenaar voted in favor of H.R. 7109, the Equal Representation Act. The bill would require the Census Bureau to include a citizenship question on the census and exclude non-citizens from the population considered during apportionment for Congressional representation and electoral votes in presidential elections.
