WASHINGTON, May 2 -- The American Association of People with Disabilities issued the following news release:
On April 26, 2024, The Department of Health and Human Services (HHS) issued a final rule regarding section 1557 of the Affordable Care Act (https://www.hhs.gov/civil-rights/for-individuals/section-1557/1557-fact-sheet/index.html) (ACA), which prohibits discrimination based on race, color, national origin, sex, age, or disability in covered health programs and activities.
