TAHLEQUAH, Oklahoma, April 19 -- The Cherokee Nation, a federally-recognized Native American tribe, issued the following news on April 18, 2024:
The Council of the Cherokee Nation on April 15 approved a proposal by Principal Chief Chuck Hoskin Jr. and Deputy Chief Bryan Warner to begin addressing homelessness in the Tahlequah area and to help construct a new ball field complex in the community.
