WASHINGTON, April 16 -- Rep. John B. Larson, D-Connecticut, issued the following news release:

As a former public-school teacher in Connecticut, I understand the frustration that so many have with the Windfall Elimination Provision and Government Pension Offset, otherwise known as the WEP/GPO.
I have also heard from many teachers in my district that have been impacted, some of whom are here today.
