AKWESASNE, New York, April 16 -- The St. Regis Mohawk Tribe, a federally-recognized Native American tribe, issued the following news on April 15, 2024:
In accordance with the 2013 Tribal Procedures Act; the Saint Regis Mohawk Tribe is notifying to membership of the proposed amendments to two Tribal ordinances: the Land Assignment Ordinance and the Mortgage Foreclosure Ordinance. Tribal members are encouraged to review and submit comment on the proposed amendment during a 30-day comm . . .
