U.S. Attorney for the Northern District of Iowa: North Carolina Man Who Caused Dubuque Man's Death Sentenced to Over 30 Years in Prison

CEDAR RAPIDS, Iowa, April 6 -- The office of the U.S. Attorney for the Northern District of Iowa issued the following news release:

A North Carolina man who sold fentanyl to a Dubuque, Iowa, man who overdosed and died was sentenced today to more than 30 years in prison.

James Adam Earwood, age 39, of Rutherfordton, North Carolina, received the prison sentence after a jury found Earwood guilty on October 5, 2023, of distribution of a controlled substance, heroin and fent . . .
