ITHACA, New York, April 4 -- Cornell University issued the following news:
In Barton Hall, a classroom used by Naval Reserve Officers' Training Corps midshipmen and a gym used by the joint ROTC services are named in memory of Maj. Richard J. Gannon II '95, a Marine killed in Iraq in 2004.
On April 13, nearly 20 years to the day after Gannon's death in Anbar Province while trying to aid a wounded member of the company he led, NROTC will host a 5K run and program of event . . .
