NEW YORK, April 4 -- Metropolitan Opera issued the following news release:
Tilman Michael, Chorus Master of the Frankfurt Opera for the past ten seasons, has been appointed Chorus Director of the Metropolitan Opera, replacing Donald Palumbo, who earlier announced that he would step down at the end of the Met season this June.
