UNESCO Names 18 New Geoparks

PARIS, France, March 28 -- The United Nations Educational, Scientific and Cultural Organization issued the following news release on March 27, 2024:

UNESCO's Executive Board has endorsed the addition of 18 sites to the UNESCO Global Geoparks network. This brings the total number of geoparks to 213 in 48 countries.
