ALBUQUERQUE, New Mexico, March 23 -- The office of the U.S. Attorney for the District of New Mexico issued the following news release on March 22, 2024:
Jaremy Smith has been charged by federal prosecutors for the murder of New Mexico State Police Officer Justin Hare. Smith, 33, of South Carolina, made his initial appearance today in federal court, where a detention hearing is scheduled for March 26, 2024.
