WASHINGTON, March 12 -- The U.S. Department of Justice issued the following news release on March 11, 2024:
Six former officers of the Eastern Kentucky Correctional Complex (EKCC) were sentenced today for their roles in the assault of an inmate and the subsequent cover-up.
Three officers who carried out the assault on the inmate and covered it up -- Randall Dennis, 28, James Benish, 37, and Jeffery Havens, 28 -- were sentenced to 60, 27 and 15 months in prison, respect . . .
