NEW YORK, March 2 -- The Committee to Protect Journalists issued the following news release on March 1, 2024:
The "A Safer World for the Truth" initiative--a coalition of three international press freedom organizations--met with the Philippine Department of Justice (DoJ) and the Philippine National Police (PNP) to provide new and actionable information that could lead to the arrest of the alleged mastermind behind the 2011 murder of radio journalist Gerry Ortega.
