Texas U.S. Attorney: Mexican National Sentenced to Over 11 Years in Prison for Trafficking Meth

ALPINE, Texas, Feb. 29 -- The office of the U.S. Attorney for the Western District of Texas issued the following news release:

A Mexican national was sentenced in a federal court in Pecos to 135 months in prison for possession with intent to distribute methamphetamine.

According to court documents, U.S. Border Patrol agents inspected a vehicle driven by Jorge Alberto Garcia-Gamez, 45, at a checkpoint near Marfa. During the inspection, agents discovered 76 vacuum-sealed . . .
