SALEM, Oregon, Feb. 28 -- The Oregon Senate Republicans issued the following news release on Feb. 27, 2024:
Today, Senate Republicans voted to support age-appropriate reading materials for K-12 students in the Oregon public education system. Senate Republican Leader Tim Knopp (R-Bend) made a motion to adopt a minority report in place of SB 1583, which was voted down by all 17 Senate Democrats. It would have given more time to study and discuss this contentious issue in future sessio . . .
