Glenn Ligon is an artist who has pursued an incisive exploration of American history, literature, and society across bodies of work that build critically on the legacies of modern painting and conceptual art. As the spring 2024 guest speaker for the John A. Cooper Visiting Artist Lecture Series at AAP, Ligon will give a public artist talk on March 5. The series was created with a gift from alumnus John A.
