SALEM, Oregon, Feb. 16 -- The Oregon House Republicans issued the following news release on Feb. 15, 2024:

Today, House Democrats voted down three common sense Republican bills to provide more educational opportunities for Oregon students and to protect the rights of parents to ensure they play a role in their children's educations.

HB 4095 re-establishes basic proficiency standards for reading, writing, and math as conditions for a student to receive a high school dipl . . .
