INDIANAPOLIS, Indiana, Feb. 10 -- The Indiana Senate Republicans issued the following news release on Feb. 9, 2024:
State Sen. Ron Alting (R-Lafayette) authored a bill this year to require a landlord to repair or replace an essential item within 24 hours of an issue being reported at a rental unit.
Senate Bill 235 would have allowed a tenant of a rental property to bring an enforcement action against a landlord by providing notice of the property owner's noncompliance.< . . .
