GREENVILLE, South Carolina, Feb. 9 -- The office of the U.S. Attorney for the District of South Carolina issued the following news release:

Randy James Kennedy, 35, of Piedmont, was sentenced to 18 years in federal prison after pleading guilty to conspiracy to possess with intent to distribute methamphetamine.

Evidence presented to the court showed that Kennedy obtained methamphetamine through the mail and directed others on its handling and distribution. While in jail . . .
