Texas U.S. Attorney: Fort Worth Woman Sentenced to 24 Years in Federal Prison for Drug Trafficking

DEL RIO, Texas, Feb. 6 -- The office of the U.S. Attorney for the Western District of Texas issued the following news release:

A Fort Worth woman was sentenced in a federal court in Del Rio to 292 months in prison for her role in a conspiracy to import methamphetamine into the U.S.

According to court documents, Sally Renae Smith, 54, conspired with others to import 3.422 kilograms of methamphetamine which had a purity of 100%. Smith exchanged text messages with a co-con . . .
