MERCEDES, TEXAS - On Tuesday, Congressman Vicente Gonzalez (TX-34) presented a World War II veteran's family with his lost medals and military records. Previously, the family of Private First Class Francisco Gonzalez had for years attempted to recover any of the veteran's records after they were mostly lost in the 1973 fire at the National Personnel Records Center.
