HONOLULU, Hawaii, Jan. 31 -- Hawaii Attorney General Anne E. Lopez issued the following news release on Jan. 30, 2024:
After nearly 18 years of litigation, the Department of the Attorney General has prevailed in a class-action lawsuit in the case of Dannenberg v. State, in which a class of retired government employees sought to recover hundreds of millions of dollars in claims relating to retiree health benefits provided by the Hawaii Employer-Union Health Benefits Trust Fund (EUTF) . . .
