WASHINGTON, Jan. 26 -- Rep. Greg Stanton, D-Arizona, issued the following news release:
This week Representatives Greg Stanton of Arizona and Doug LaMalfa of California introduced the Wildfire Response Improvement Act, bipartisan legislation to that would allow the federal government to better respond to the challenges of worsening wildfires in the American West.
Today, federal support for fighting wildfires ends as soon as the fire is extinguished. But post-fire risks . . .
