WASHINGTON, Jan. 22 -- Sen. Tom Cotton, R-Arkansas, issued the following news release:
Senator Tom Cotton (R-Arkansas) today sent a letter to Department of Health and Human Services Secretary Xavier Becerra and Attorney General Merrick Garland, expressing concern about the profit opportunities that a ban on menthol cigarettes would create for terrorist organizations. Senator Cotton also demanded answers on the extent of the Department of Justice's assessment of this threat.
