The Indiana Utility Regulatory Commission (IURC) has confirmed that it will hold a public hearing on Jan. 23 in Hammond regarding the Northern Indiana Public Service Company (NIPSCO) pending natural gas rate hike request. NIPSCO is seeking to increase consumer rates by an initial $16.25 a month and an eventual $25.50 per month. Working to lower utility rates for the average Hoosier is a priority . . .
