WASHINGTON, Jan. 18 -- Rep. Lisa McClain, R-Michigan, issued the following news release on Jan. 17, 2024:
Today, Congresswoman Lisa McClain (R-MI) and Congresswoman Debbie Dingell (D-MI) introduced the Great Lakes Mapping Act. This legislation would direct NOAA to conduct high-resolution mapping of the lakebeds of the Great Lakes. The bill would require the agency to complete the mapping project by 2030, and the information would be publicly available.
