NEW YORK, Jan. 18 -- PEN America issued the following news release:
Iranian Nobel Peace Prize laureate and 2023 PEN/Barbey Freedom to Write awardee Narges Mohammadi has been sentenced to 15 additional months in prison for "propaganda." PEN America strongly condemns the persistent judicial harassment of Mohammadi and demands an immediate cessation of the punitive measures inflicted upon her as a result of her writing and activism conducted while in Evin prison.
