Congressman Carter Requests USDA Farm Aid Extension

WASHINGTON, Jan. 13 -- Rep. Troy Carter, D-Louisiana, issued the following news release on Jan. 11, 2024:

Today, Congressman Troy A. Carter, Sr. (D-La.) sent a letter to the Secretary of Agriculture Thomas J. Vilsack requesting an extension of the deadline to apply for farm aid under Section 22007 of the Inflation Reduction Act (IRA). This will help Louisiana Black farmers receive what they rightfully deserve.
