ALBANY, New York, Jan. 13 -- Gov. Kathy Hochul, D-New York, issued the following news release on Jan. 12, 2024:
Upon the two-year anniversary of mobile sports wagering in New York State, Governor Kathy Hochul today announced the State has collected more than $1.55 billion in taxes on such bets, most of it to be used for education. Last year's $862 million, when added to $693 million as well as $200 million in licensing fees collected in 2022 brings the total generated revenue to $1. . . .
