CHARLESTON, South Carolina, Jan. 13 -- The U.S. Department of Homeland Security's Transportation Security Administration issued the following news release on Jan. 12, 2024:
Transportation Security Administration (TSA) officers at South Carolina airports discovered a total of 87 firearms in travelers' carry-on luggage in 2023, a new annual record for the state.
