WASHINGTON, Jan. 3 -- The office of the U.S. Attorney for the District of Columbia issued the following news release on Jan. 2, 2024:

A Texas man was convicted of several felony and misdemeanor charges in the District of Columbia today related to his actions during the Jan. 6, 2021, Capitol breach. His actions and the actions of others disrupted a joint session of the U.S. Congress convened to ascertain and count the electoral votes related to the 2020 presidential election.
