WASHINGTON, Dec. 29 -- The U.S. Department of the Interior's National Park Service issued the following news release:
The Department of the Interior has authorized the National Park Service to prepare a possible nomination by the United States of Okefenokee National Wildlife Refuge in Georgia to the UNESCO World Heritage List.
