ALBANY, New York, Dec. 23 -- Gov. Kathy Hochul, D-New York, issued the following news release on Dec. 22, 2023:
Governor Kathy Hochul today signed legislation to improve New York's criminal justice system and make it fairer for all. Legislation S.7534/A.7669 increases the number of judges serving on certain courts which will help alleviate the backlog facing jurisdictions across the State.
