WASHINGTON, Dec. 20 -- Rep. Henry Cuellar, D-Texas, issued the following news release on Dec. 19, 2023:
Today, U.S. Congressman Henry Cuellar, Ph.D. (TX-28) announced $3,498,739 in federal funding for border security and school violence prevention in Starr County.
$3,000,000 was provided by the Federal Emergency Management Agency's (FEMA) Operation Stonegarden Program for the Starr County Sheriff's Office. The funds will be used to pay overtime wages and purchase new eq . . .
