WASHINGTON, Dec. 11 -- Rep. Steve Cohen, D-Tennessee, issued the following news release:
WASHINGTON - Congressman Steve Cohen (TN-9) today announced that the University of Tennessee Health Science Center (UTHSC) will receive a Rural Development grant of $364,502 from the U.S. Department of Agriculture (USDA) for technical assistance and training to combat sickle cell disease in the Delta region, and to improve communication between health care professionals.
