ITHACA, New York, Dec. 12 -- Cornell University issued the following news:
One woman was denied assignments at her job because of a 30-year-old conviction. Another man couldn't get a job at a nursing home, or anywhere that conducted a background check, because of a record that was decades old and incorrect.
