WASHINGTON, Dec. 9 -- Rep. Henry Cuellar, D-Texas, issued the following news release on Dec. 8, 2023:
Today, U.S. Congressman Henry Cuellar, Ph.D. (TX-28) announced $1,875,000 in federal funds to hire police officers in Laredo. The funds, provided by the U.S. Department of Justice's Community Oriented Policing Service (COPS) Hiring Program, will be used to hire 15 officers.
