WASHINGTON, Dec. 7 -- Sen. John Barrasso, R-Wyoming, issued the following news release on Dec. 6, 2023:
U.S. Senator John Barrasso (R-WY), chairman of the Senate Republican Conference, today blocked an attempt by Senate Majority Leader Chuck Schumer to ban so-called "assault weapons." Senator Barrasso spoke on the Senate floor on the need protect Americans' Second Amendment rights.
