WASHINGTON, Dec. 7 -- Rep. John James, R-Michigan, issued the following news release on Dec. 6, 2023:
Today, Representative John James (MI-10) joined a majority of his colleagues in the House of Representatives to pass his Disclose GIFTs (Getting Investments in Foreign Transactions) Act. The Disclose GIFTS Act, which was included in Rep. Michelle Steel's DETERRENT Act, would require departments at colleges and universities to report gifts and contracts from foreign nations of concer . . .
