FORT HUACHUCA, Arizona, Dec. 6 -- The U.S. Army Network Enterprise Technology Command issued the following story:

Less than one percent of the population serves in the U.S. Army active-duty component. Of that percentage, approximately 17% serve until they are eligible to retire. It may seem bittersweet when the day comes for those Soldiers, but they've earned the right to enjoy the next chapter in life.
