HEMPSTEAD, New York, Nov. 22 -- Hofstra University issued the following news:
The Nassau County Office of Mental Health, Chemical Dependency, and Development has awarded a 4-year, $1.24 million grant to Hofstra University's Institute for Family Forensic Psychology (IFFP) and the Institute for Generational Resilience Informed By Trauma (G.R.I.T.) to start a counseling program for children whose parents are in county-ordered treatment for opioid and alcohol abuse.
