WASHINGTON, Nov. 21 -- The U.S. Department of Agriculture's Agricultural Marketing Service issued the following news release on Nov. 20, 2023:
The U.S. Department of Agriculture (USDA) entered into a stipulation agreement with Mid-Tex Livestock Auction LLC (Mid-Tex), Texas, on Nov. 7, 2023, for alleged violations of the Packers and Stockyards (P&S) Act. Under the terms of the stipulation, Mid-Tex waived its rights to a hearing and paid a penalty of $3,750.
