WASHINGTON, Nov. 10 -- Rep. Rob Menendez, D-New Jersey, issued the following news release on Nov. 9, 2023:
Congressman Rob Menendez today announced the award of $6.25 million in U.S. Department of Justice Community Oriented Policing Services (COPS) funding for Essex County, North Bergen, Elizabeth, and Newark. The funding secured by Congressman Menendez will be utilized to hire career law enforcement officers to facilitate community policing and crime prevention efforts.
