WASHINGTON, Nov. 6 -- Rep. Daniel Kildee, D-Michigan, issued the following news release:
Congressman Dan Kildee (MI-08) today announced new federal funding to help improve security at schools and on school grounds in Genesee County.
The federal grants, totaling $872,450 and awarded by the U.S. Department of Justice, will help two local schools train local law enforcement officers to prevent school violence, invest in metal detectors, locks, lighting and other deterrents . . .
