WASHINGTON, Oct. 25 -- Rep. Clay Higgins, R-Louisiana, issued the following news release:
WASHINGTON, D.C. - Congressman Clay Higgins (R-LA) issued the following statement in response to the Louisiana Legislature's Joint Transportation Committee vote against the Louisiana Department of Transportation and Development's (LADOTD) proposed Public-Private Partnership (P3) to replace the I-10 Calcasieu River Bridge.
"The $2.1 billion cost for the P3 needs to be explained . . .
