WASHINGTON, Oct. 24 -- Sen. Bill Cassidy, R-Louisiana, issued the following news release:
WASHINGTON - U.S. Senator Bill Cassidy, M.D. (R-LA) announced Cameron Parish will receive $6,078,485.00 from the Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA) in Hurricane Laura relief. Cameron Parish will receive $5,759,235.00 to fund the mitigation of 25 flood prone residential structures and $319,250.00 to elevate 25 residential structures located within the Special Flood Hazard Area.
