WASHINGTON, Sept. 27 -- Rep. Hillary Scholten, D-Michigan, issued the following news release on Sept. 26, 2023:

Today, Reps. Hillary Scholten (D-MI-03) and John Moolenaar (R-MI-02) introduced bipartisan legislation, the Grand River Bands of Ottawa Indians Restoration Act, to grant Congressional federal recognition to the Grand River Bands of Ottawa Indians (GRB).
