WASHINGTON, Sept. 25 -- Rep. John Moolenaar, R-Michigan, issued the following news release:
Today, Ford Motor Company announced it is pausing its plans to build a battery component factory in Marshall. The joint venture between Ford and CATL, a Chinese Communist Party-affiliated company, has raised concerns about the automaker becoming dependent on the CCP as it attempts to meet President Biden's goal of having two-thirds of all new vehicles sold in the U.S. be electric by 2032.
