INDIANAPOLIS, Indiana, Feb. 14 -- The Indiana House Democrats issued the following news on Feb. 13, 2023:
State Rep. Cherrish Pryor (D-Indianapolis) today offered an amendment to House Bill 1009 that would extend services to unborn children and new mothers.
Pryor's amendment would provide any government service, such as TANF (Temporary Assistance for Needy Families), that newborns are eligible for to unborn children. It was denied a vote through procedural means.
